Unity Church of Peace to hear EFT practitioner today

WALLA WALLA — Unity Church of Peace, 810 C St., will present EFT teacher and practitioner Kelly End at 10 a.m.

End will speak on "Take The Log Out Of Your Own Eye and "Mine" Your Own Business." She will guide everyone through The 12 Steps, known to help heal addiction such as alcoholism, with an angle everyone can benefit from and appreciate as they apply them to their own lives.

At 1 pm Kelly will conduct a two-hour workshop on "Emotional Field, Therapy." Donations are welcome.

First Presbyterian offers 12-week Beth Moore Bible study

WALLA WALLA — First Presbyterian Church, 325 S. First Ave., offers a twelve-week Beth Moore Bible study "Daniel – Lives of Integrity, Words of Prophecy." The classes begin this week at 1 p.m. Monday or at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, in the fellowship hall. The registration fee of $18 covers the cost of the home study book.

Dayton Adventist Community Services opens its doors

DAYTON — Dayton Adventist Community Services opened its doors Tuesday to serve the public from 10-3 p.m. at 305 E. Clay St.

The center will be open every Tuesday from 10-3 p.m.

There are free clothing, shoes, coats, layette sets, small household items and requests for larger items will be taken and filled as available.

Providence St. Mary Medical Center hires new chaplain

WALLA WALLA — Providence St. Mary Medical Center has hired Terry Rice for a chaplaincy position.

Rice comes from San Francisco, Calif., where he was a chaplain resident at the University of California San Francisco Medical Center. He has a bachelor’s degree in religious education from Southern Adventist University, and a Master of Divinity from the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary at Andrews University.
