HELIX — Chyanne Hack scored 21 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead Helix to a 47-24 victory over Condon-Wheeler in a Big Sky Conference East Division girls basketball game here Friday night.

Kylee Rogers added 12 points for the Grizzlies, who improved to 1-3 in league and 9-4 overall.

"We lost two one-point games the last two games," Helix coach Dean Fouquette said. "We’re sort of trying to recover from injuries and round into shape. We have had sort of a struggle, but we’re starting to play some very good basketball. The girls were pretty effective.

"Chyanne played hard and rebounded hard," Fouquette said. "Addie (Terjeson) had seven assists. I thought we passed the ball very well.

"Kylee hit a couple of big 3s for us in the third quarter," Fouquette said. "Meghan Schroeder missed four games (due to a broken nose). We were 1-3 in those games. It’s good to have her back."

Helix is also playing without Brittany Smith due to a torn ACL, Fouquette said. The injury occurred on Dec. 19, when the Grizzlies were 7-0 and ranked No. 3 in Oregon’s Class 1A ranks.

The Grizzlies’ scheduled game at Central Christian in Prinevlle, Ore., Saturday night was postponed because of a winter storm forcast.
