DAYTON — The host Dayton Bulldogs made just six field goals and shot 17 percent during a 45-22 loss to Liberty Christian in a Southeast B District Southern Division boys basketball game here Friday night.

Dayton took an 0-4 league record into a Saturday night home counter against Asotin.

"It’s the same thing we’ve been fighting all year," Dayton coach Roy Ramirez said. "We can’t get over the hump with our shooting. We’re lucky we didn’t lose by more.

"Our defensive effort was incredible," Ramirez said of his team’s play that limited LC to 31-percent shooting (19-of-61). "That’s what kept it as close as it was."

Dayton’s Garett Turner was the game’s leading scorer with 11 points. Bryan Corrigan led a balanced Liberty Christian offense with 10 points.
