STANFIELD, Ore. — Tyler Babb connected on a 10-foot baseline jumper with 1.8 seconds to play here Friday night as Weston-McEwen eked out a 56-55 Blue Mountain Conference boys basketball victory over Stanfield.

"I was subbing in offense for defense at the end of the game," W-M coach Brian Pickard said. "I had Babb in on offense because he is a good shooter. And he hit the shot and we won."

It was Babb’s only score on the night.

Dallas Reich had another double-double for the TigerScots with 18 points and 12 rebounds.

"Reich gets a double-double most every night," Pickard said. "He is consistent."

Off the bench for the TigerScots, Miguel Penaloza came through with 11 points.

"Penaloza off the bench is instant energy," Pickard said. "Miguel knows only one speed and that is fast. He hustles and comes up with big plays for us. His points as a reserve tonight were big."
