FOSSIL, Ore. — Helix jumped on Condon-Wheeler early, employing a successful three-quarter court trap to stake an 11-2 first quarter lead. The Grizzlies never looked back here Saturday as they cruised to the 45-29 Big Sky East Division girls basketball victory.

"We played really good defense again," Helix coach Dean Fouquette said. "Our three-quarter press trap caused them a lot of problems and we got some easy buckets off it. We took care of the ball and didn’t have too many turnovers. I just thought we beat them defensively tonight."

Kylee Rogers led the Grizzlies with 12 points. Megan Schroeder chipped in eight points and a game high 16 rebounds.

Helix outrebounded C-W, 42-26.

"We had balanced scoring from our starters. I’m very pleased with the way we passed, shared, and controlled the ball," Fouquette said.

"We played our best ball of the season this weekend. We’re feeling pretty good about where we’re at."

With the win Helix improves to 3-3 in league after an 0-3 start.
