Board members are Cindy Meyer, president; Jim Lehmann, vice-president; Max Carrera, Anne Golden and Dan Hess. With all present Tuesday, the board:
- BILLS: Approved payment of bills for January from general fund for $777,305.40; capital project for $686,290.79; associated student body account for $52,594.78. December payroll was $3,858,561 and estimated January payroll is $3,750,000. Unanimous.
- HIRES: Approved hiring Yazmin Bahena, Mary Claire Gegen, Justin James, Erika Montgomery, Michelle Poulson, Twyla Swanson, and Jennifer Wood as temporary paraeducators; Amie Barnett as bus assistant; Daniel Beuck as Wa-Hi custodian; Gladys Coley as food service assistant at Garrison; and Barbara Kenny and Chris Myers as bus drivers. Unanimous.
- RESIGN: Accepted resignations, most for purpose of retiring, from 20 staff members to be effective with the end of the current school year. A complete list of staff members and positions is available through the district. Unanimous.
- TROOPERS: Heard report on Garrison Middle School "Trooper Times," a program that is preparing school students for high school while helping them transition into and out of middle school.
