WALLA WALLA -- Local children's music writer and performer Eric Herman (Endres) will perform Saturday at a free show at the public library.
Herman is most known for creating the "Elephant Song," which was featured on YouTube in 2007 and has since received 10 million views. Since the day the site featured Herman's song about pachyderms, primates, felines and other animals, along with some silly incorrect animal behaviors, Herman said his career grown steadily and is now his family's main income.
"When YouTube feature the "Elephant Song" video, we were doing well before that, but since that it is a whole different story," Herman said.
The children's perform based out of the Tri-Cities now travels coast to coast with his family in their two touring rigs, though most of his performances are based around the Pacific Northwest.
"It's like a variety show, very fun and interactive and lot of different kinds of gags and the music as well; it is high energy," he said.
