Golden Eagles boys still perfect in Big Sky play

CONDON — Nixyaawii remained perfect in boys Big Sky Conference basketball action here Friday with a 74-57 victory over Condon-Wheeler.

The win moves the Golden Eagles to 9-0 in conference and 17-1 overall.

Three Golden Eagles scored in double digits to lead the win and pace a 26-11 second-quarter run after trailing 16-14 after the first quarter. The Eagles then outscored C-W 23-18 third quarter run to take control of the game.

"We continued to press and tried to get them to play our game," Golden Eagles coach Aaron Noisey said. "The third quarter really changed the momentum. Our speed and conditioning was the difference."

Shawn Simpson led the Golden Eagles with 25 points. He was joined in double digits by Isiah Case’s 19 points and Anthony Bonifer’s double-double — 14 points and 10 assists.

Ashton Picard added seven points and pulled down a team-leading 11 rebounds for the Golden Eagles.

Cole MacInnes led the Knights with 15.
