RICHLAND -- A Walla Walla man suffered minor injuries in a fatal collision early this morning, the Washington State Patrol reports.
Killed in the crash was Christopher R. Reno, 23, of West Richland. The State Patrol reports that Reno was driving a 1999 Corvette south on Goethals Drive about 1:56 a.m. today when he lost control at Adams Street because of excessive speed, and crashed into two parked vehicles.
Reno was taken to Kadlec Medical Center, where he died about 3:40 a.m.
Three passengers in Reno's vehicle -- Mikal M. Vickerman, 21, of Richland; Daniel R. King, 22, of Walla Walla; and Brandon M. Foster, 23, of Richland -- sustained minor injuries. Reno and Foster were reported to be the only ones wearing seatbelts, according to the WSP.
Excessive speed and alcohol were listed as contributing to the fatal crash.

The early-morning, single-car wreck also killed the driver, a West Richland man.
