DAYTON — Garett Turner scored 18 points and Dain Henderson pumped in 13 as Dayton’s boys basketball team picked up its first Southeast B District Southern Division win of the season here Friday night — a 53-49 triumph over Tri-Cities Prep.

The Bulldogs trailed by 10 late in the third quarter before getting their offense in gear. Dayton scored 22 points in the fourth quarter to wipe out a four-point deficit it faced heading into the period.

Antonio Ledesma scored 19 points and Will Hoppes added 15 for the Jaguars.

"The boys played with a lot of heart," Dayton coach Roy Ramirez said. "They came back and got the job done. Everybody contributed.

"We played some pretty good defense," Ramirez said. "The boys did everything a coach would want them to do. Our bigs (Henderson, Joey Schlachter and Kroft Sunderland) finished 10-for-14. That’s the most production we’ve had from them all year."
