Helix girls hammer Horizon Christian by 20

HOOD RIVER — The Helix Grizzly girls ball-hawked the Hawks from Horizon Christian from the get-go here Saturday and rode the defensive pressure and excellent rebounding to a 53-33 Big Sky basketball win.

Kylie Rogers led all scorers with 22 points, 18 of which came on six shots from behind the arc. Chyanne Hack added a double-double. She grabbed 12 rebounds and posted 15 points.

Addie Terjeson contributed 10 assists.

"(Terjeson) could have had 15 assists if we would have finished and made some easy shots," Helix coach Dean Fouquette said. "And Kylie Rogers shot the ball as well as I’ve seen her."

Helix improves its record to 6-3 in league and 14-5 overall, heading into a Friday night showdown with first place Nixyaawii in Helix.
