The Walla Walla County Sheriff's Office said two men believed to be connected to robberies early Wednesday in Burbank and Pasco have been arrested.

Sheriff's Capt. Bill White said his agency had information that one of the suspects may have have robbed two men at gunpoint outside the Sun Mart, 35 Apple Lane, Burbank, about 12:30 a.m. The suspect got away with a wallet and some cash after threatening the two men with a gun outside the convenience store.

White said his agency also learned about a similar robbery occurring a short time before in Pasco, in which two men in a truck were reported to have robbed a taxi driver. In that case, one of the suspects got out of the truck and robbed the taxi driver at a fueling station.

The Benton County Sheriff's Office arrested the two men, in their early 20s, late Wednesday after seeing them acting suspiciously near a store, White said. White said the detainees had a credit card connected to one of the Sun Mart victims, and were driving a truck described in the Pasco robbery. White said the Benton County Sheriff's Office impounded the vehicle and would conduct a search of the vehicle as paperwork was processed later today.

Details were still developing, and the Walla Walla County Sheriff's Office was working to draw formal charges in connection with the Burbank robbery. White said for now the men are facing at the least charges of possessing of stolen property.
