Mildred Helen French Gunderson, age 100, died Saturday, July 3, 2010, in Enumclaw, Wash. She was born to Arthur D. and Clara H. (Moore) French on Feb. 6, 1910, in Walla Walla. Mildred moved to Enumclaw in the early 1930's. She married Archie Gunderson September 1, 1935, in Walla Walla. Mildred was an elementary school music teacher and a life long pianist and organist. She was the church organist at Trinity Lutheran Church for many years.
She is survived by her son, Jim Gunderson (Judy) of Seattle; daughters, Jean Opland (Floyd) of Enumclaw, Karen Sohl (Don) of Brandon, SD; nine grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Mildred was preceded by her husband Archie Gunderson in 1996.
A funeral service will be held Friday, July 9, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Enumclaw. Burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Park in Enumclaw.
