  • Priscilla Chavez, 38, 258 Willard St., was sentenced July 6 on one count violation of Uniform Controlled Substances Act-possession of cocaine. The sentence included restitution of $12.18, $200 in court costs, $250 jury fees, $62 in sheriff fees, $500 to the crime victims compensation fund, $775 in attorney fees, $500 drug enforcement fund, $100 each crime lab and biological fee, 60 days in the county jail, credit for three days served, 57 days partial confinement, 24 months community custody. On June 15 Chavez was found guilty by jury verdict.

  • Travis Shandy, 24, 156 Cherry St., was sentenced July 6 on one count each first-degree criminal trespass and third-degree theft. The sentence included $200 in court costs, $62 in sheriff fees, $500 to the crime victims compensation fund, $775 in attorney fees, 365 days in the county jail, 350 days suspended, credit for four days served, 11 days converted to Department of Corrections work crew, 12 months community custody. On June 21 Shandy pleaded guilty to entering or remaining unlawfully in a building and taking property worth less than $750 with intent to deprive the owners on March 24.

  • Samuel C. Canham, 26, 290 Double River Road, was sentenced July 6 on one count violation of Uniform Controlled Substances Act-possession of more than 40 grams marijuana. The sentence included $200 in court costs, $62 in sheriff fees, $500 to the crime victims compensation fund, $775 in attorney fees, $1,000 violation of the Uniform Controlled Substance Act fee, $500 drug enforcement fund, $100 each crime lab and biological fee, 30 days in the county jail, credit for five days served, 25 days converted to Department of Corrections work crew. On June 17 Canham pleaded guilty to possessing more than 40 grams of marijuana.

  • A charge of first-degree malicious mischief was dismissed against Joshua S. Davenport for reason the state might not be able to prove each and every element of the crime beyond a reasonable doubt.
