Thefts, Burglaries



WW Police

200 block West Cherry Street. Person entered residence through open window. Purse and contents stolen.

Walla Walla Harvest Foods, 905 S. Second Ave. 9:54 p.m. Saturday. Burglary and theft reported. A man was arrested.

WW County Sheriff

Mill Creek, west of Gose Avenue. Competition BMX bicycle, iPod Nano and cell phone taken.

CP Police

800 block Southeast Scenic View Driver. Thursday. Garage entered, handcart and two bags of onions taken.

600 block Southeast Magnoni Avenue. Saturday. Two unlocked vehicles prowled, checkbook and briefcase taken, but later discovered in a nearby yard.

100 block Southwest Ninth Street. Saturday. Vehicle entered, sunglasses and navigation system taken.

100 block Southwest Ninth Street. Saturday. Vehicle entered, iPod taken.

MF Police

100 block Southwest Seventh Avenue. Prescription medications taken from residence.

400 block West Broadway Street. Bicycle stolen.

200 block Southwest First Avenue. Saturday. Bicycle stolen.

100 block Southwest Sixth Avenue. Residence entered, unknown if items taken.

600 block Northeast Ninth Court. Four tires and rims stolen from residence.

500 block North Main Street. Vehicle entered, two sub-woofers and one amplifier stolen.

Umatilla County Sheriff

South Washington Street, Weston. Saturday. Theft complaint filed.



Collisions



WW Police

00 block West Alder Street. 3:38 p.m. Friday. Driver struck a parked vehicle while attempting to park.

South Third Avenue and Orchard Street. 8:10 a.m. Sunday. Driver failed to stop, left the roadway and struck a rock wall. Driver attempted to exit the area of the crash and struck a tree, and then on another attempt high-centered the vehicle on a rock wall.

WW County Sheriff

Preston and Coppei avenues, Waitsburg. 8:07 p.m. Saturday. A driver failed to yield and struck another vehicle and then hit a gasoline pump barrier. Cindy Parris, 53, Reubens, Idaho, transported to Dayton General Hospital with injuries. The other driver was cited.

Umatilla County Sheriff

Highway 11 at mile post 11, Adams. 3:20 p.m. Sunday. Single-vehicle fatal crash.

Fifth Avenue at the park, Athena. 1:37 p.m. Saturday. Motor-vehicle crash. No injuries.

Columbia County Sheriff

Patit and Dewey roads, Dayton. 8:08 a.m. Sunday. Vehicle went over embankment. No injury reported.



Arrests



WW Police

Robert William Thompson, Jr. 24, 253 Grape St. Sunday. Charge: investigation of second-degree burglary, third-degree theft and obstructing a law enforcement officer.

Thomas Earl Nicewaner, III, 37, 325 E. Main St. Sunday. Charge: possession-depiction of a minor and violation of Uniform Controlled Substances Act-controlled substance possession with no prescription.



Fire, Ambulance runs

Second Avenue at West Highway 12. 12:07 a.m. Sunday. Brush or brush and grass mixture fire.

Sudbury Road, off Highway 12. 2:29 a.m. today. Mutual aid at power pole on fire.

4600 block Reser Road. 10:25 p.m. Saturday. Possible structure fire reported, but it was a recreational warming fire.

Waitsburg Ambulance

8:08 p.m. Saturday. Single-vehicle crash, Injured person taken to Dayton General Hospital.
