Jody Lynn (Bradley) Lanning
of Walla Walla, passed away unex-
pectedly Tuesday evening in her
home. She was 55.
She was born on May 17,
1955, in Walla Walla to Freda M.
Thompson with whom she made
her home, and the late Robert L.
Bradley. Jody grew up in the small
town Ayer Junction, WA, before
her family returned to Walla Walla
in 1963. Jody graduated from Walla Walla High School in
She was dedicated to her family and many friends,
and will be remembered as a loving, caring, and gener-
ous person. She spent most of her adult life and career
caring for mentally challenged adults in a group home
setting, and loved her clients as her own family, bringing
them joy and tenderness in their often demanding day to

daughters, Yolanda (Chavez) Whiting, Dover, DE; Antonia
Chavez, French Camp, CA; Angelica (Chavez) Billings,
College Place, WA; and Amber (Lanning) Jones, Walla
Walla, WA; and a brother Robert Bradley, Farrell, PA. She
also leaves seven grandchildren, and was looking for-
ward to the birth of a grandson in August.
Jody was preceded in death by her stepfather Lon E.
