WALLA WALLA - Wa-Hi sophomore Libbie Jimenez was selected to play in the Adidas Futures All-Star Game in Boulder, Colo., after taking part in the Louisville Slugger Independence Day Softball Tournament with the Washington Explosion in late June.

Jimenez was on a team with girls from Florida, Colorado, California, Texas, Illinois and North Carolina, and was 2-for-2 with a single and double in the game.

The four All-Star Games were made up of 2010 unsigned players, through 2013 graduates. An estimated 1,800 people and 200 college coaches were on hand for the games.

Jimenez is one of four Wa-Hi players on the Explosion, a select team made up of players from nine high schools. Jimenez, Hope Klicker, TraeAnne Payne and Kendsey Hill are headed to College Station, Texas, for the national tournament the first week of August after the Explosion won the ASA 16A State Championship at Columbia Playfields in Richland on Sunday.
