Kenneth Edward Wicher, 37, of Oregon City, Oregon, passed away July 10th 2010 as a result of head injuries from an accidental fall.
Ken was born in Santa Clara, California December 11, 1972 to Gordon and Sandi Wicher. The family moved to Walla Walla, Washington in 1980. Ken attended DeSales High School where he was an active member of Jazz band, choir and participated in multiple sports including football, basketball and baseball. Ken was selected to the all-state baseball team in his senior season.
After graduating in 1991, Ken attended The University of Portland and went on to become an all-conference baseball player, team captain and team MVP before graduating with a degree in business in 1996.
During college, Ken began his career at Nordstrom, moving from sales to retail management. After leaving Nordstrom Ken moved on to product management at BD&A in Seattle, Wa. After accepting a position at Adidas America in 2007, Ken and his family returned to Portland. Ken was most recently the senior buyer for Taylor Made.
Ken's smile was an outward expression of his generous spirit. His friends described him as confident, dependable, energetic, kind, and having a zest for life.
Ken's biggest joy and the most important part of his life were his children.
Ken is survived by his three children Brock, Ashley and Eva; his parents Gordon and Sandi; his sister Julie and her husband John; a large extended family; his former wife Angela and her extended family.
Services to celebrate Ken's life will be held on Friday July 30th in Walla Walla, Wa. at St. Pauls Episcopal Church at 4:30 PM, and on Sunday August 1st in Portland, Or. at the Adidas America Campus at 2:00 PM.
