Rebecca Walker-Landstrom
June 12, 1948 - June 24, 2010

Rebecca Lee Walker-Landstrom, our beloved Becca left us for Heaven
from Providence St. Mary's Medical Center in Walla Walla on June 24, 2010, her room filled with love from family and friends at her side.

A baby boomer, she was born on June 12, 1948, to Thomas and Ruth Carter of Atwater, Calif.

In 2003 she met and married Richard Landstrom, moving to College Place where she fell in love with the state, the Blue Mountains and loved working at her Super Walmart.

Her mom always said she was born under a wandering star as she loved to travel. Flying to Berlin, Germany, right after she graduated from high school and later traveled throughout Italy. Her future plans included a return trip to Italy next year with a good friend from Australia. She loved spending time with her two grandkids and flew home several times a year to visit family and California friends.

She is survived by her mother, Ruth Carter from Atwater, Calif.; sister, Chris Chambers and husband Ed from Merced, Calif.; a daughter, Sonia Walker and Aaron Marx' two grandsons, Raymond and Thomas, from Kent, Wash.; step-daughter, Mary Federick from
Washington; step-sons, Matt Landstrom from Washington and Bill Walker from Nevada; a cousin, Carol Stephens-Cornett from Yakima; an aunt, June Brown; and cousins, Kathleen and Nancy.
She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas, who passed away exactly five months prior to the day and husband, Richard Landstrom, in 2005.

Her family would like to thank Providence St. Mary's Medical Center for the loving care provided by Becca Hawkins and nurses on the 3rd floor, room 301. Special thanks to Gertrude White and Beverly Kuljis,
loving neighbor and friends who cared for her and provided spiritual strength. Becca was a friend to all she met and everyone loved her. Not a day will go by that she isn't missed by her family and friends.

A memorial service is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Friday, July 23, 2010, at the Christian Church of the Valley, 2212 Cherry Ave, Merced, Calif. In lieu of flowers you may give a living memorial in Becky's name to Hospice. Please visit a "memorial for Rebecca Landstrom" on facebook.
