Ashley M. Thornton, 16, 919 N. Eighth Ave., was sentenced July 16 on one count third-degree theft. The sentence included 15 days in the Juvenile Justice Center, nine months community supervision, 20 hours community service, $100 to crime victims compensation fund, $110 in court costs. On July 2 Thornton pleaded guilty to wrongfully obtaining or exerting unauthorized control over property or services of another of a value not exceeding $750 with intent to deprive the owner on March 9.
Crystal M. Hazelton, 17, 2517 Lower Dry Creek Road, was sentenced July 16 on one count minor in possession and or consuming liquor. The sentence included 30 days in the Juvenile Justice Center, credit for nine days served, 12 months community supervision, 25 hours community service, $100 to crime victims compensation fund, $110 in court costs. On June 18 Hazelton pleaded guilty to consuming alcohol while under the age of 21.
