Author Julian Raine will release her books, featuring new covers and revisions, to Book and Game Co., 38 E. Main St., today.
Raine is the author of 12 books of poetry and two children's books. In a news release, she said the books reflect 10 years of work. Her titles include "Black Locust," "Coyote Tobacco," "Hemlock," "Camellia," "Immortelle," "The Black Of Dolls Eyes," "Poverty Sumpweed," "Venus Looking Glass," "Calypso," "Justicia," "Narcissus Poeticus," "None-So-Pretty," "Once Upon A Dream" and "Bella And The Butterfly."
Raine began the writing in the mountains of Oregon. Also a visual artist, she divides her time between painting and writing. She is currently working on a compilation of poems and letters.
Raine will also release other authors under her publishing press, Coyote Tobacco Press. Those authors include, Destry Bermoy, with a book of poems titled "German Jewish Girlfriend;" Rick Mack, with a portrait of the Oregon landscape titled "Among The Western Hills;" and Bernadette Martonick, with a children's book titled "Penelope, The Crying Girl."
According to a news release, Raine is planning a September event with Coyote Tobacco Press authors at Book and Game Co. and other venues.
