Glenn L. Runyan

Walla Walla resident, Glenn Leroy Runyan, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 13, 2010, in Walla Walla, Washington. He was 88.
Glenn was born February 15, 1922, in La Porte City, Iowa, to parents Roy and Ona Runyan. He served in the US Army from 1942-1945.
His wife of 65 years, Mary E. Runyan, passed away February 5, 2006.
He was also preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Allen and Darwin Runyan, and a sister, Jackie Grover.
Glenn is survived by two sisters, Corella Lahr of Bruce, Wisconsin and Dixie Witt of Rancho Mirage, California; and five children: JoAnn Hagen of Walla Walla, Washington, Sandra Nelson of Sugarland, Texas, Virginia Wyckoff of Stanfield, Oregon, John Runyan of Walla Walla and Glenn C. Runyan of Lebanon, Oregon. He also has eleven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 5, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. at the Jonathan M. Wainwright Memorial Veterans Administration Medical Center Chapel, 77 Wainwright Drive, Walla Walla, Washington.
Glenn and Mary will be interred at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon, with military honors being rendered there on August 6, 2010 at 2:00 p.m.
