Festival of Actors takes the stage at WWU this weekend

With its incorporation of monologues written just for this performance and the improvisation of Fresh Cut Improv, Festival of the Actors 2010 will offer a unique display of experimentation at 9 p.m. Saturday and 8 p.m. Sunday at Walla Walla University's Donnie Rigby Black Box Theatre, Southwest Fourth Street and Southwest Davis Avenue. Tickets are $7 general admission; $6 for students and seniors; and $5 for WWU students, faculty and staff. Tickets are available at the door or at drama.wallawalla.edu.

The production is run by students. It was started in 2004 as wwudrama's annual monologue show but since has become a venue for student expression in writing, acting and directing.

Monologue actors include Jaclyn Archer, Megan DeJaegher, John Lubke, Randy Lutz, Cheri Windom and Shane Wood.

Improvisational actors include Luke Chilson, Jennifer Landaverde, Jessica Roe, Mackenzie Rote, Stephanie Smith, Darcy Sturges and Julian Weller.
