WALLA WALLA - Sophomore Glen Reser and freshman Alex Bonczyk are Walla Walla Community College's representatives on the NWAACC's all-Eastern Division baseball first team.
Reser, a third baseman from Spokane, led the Warriors with a .355 batting average, slugged four home runs and contributed 31 runs batted in. He also had six doubles on the year.
Bonczyk, an outfielder out of Las Vegas, had a team-leading 19 stolen bases on the season.
Freshman outfielder Tyler Roberts from Kennewick and freshman left-handed pitcher Brett Watson of Lewiston were named to the all-East second team. Roberts batted .320 with eight doubles, a team-leading six triples and 40 RBIs. Watson posted a 3-3 record, registered 60 strikeouts in 55 innings and logged a team-best 1.47 earned run average.
Reser, Bonczyk and sophomore right-handed pitcher Richie Carmichael were all awarded East Region Gold Gloves for their defensive play. Reser was selected the top defensive third baseman in the entire NWAACC and was a second-team all-NWAACC selection.
