Larry and Gloria Heterley


Larry and Gloria Heterley of Milton-Freewater celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary Saturday. The couple were high school sweethearts. Gloria's maiden name is Free.

They married June 5, 1965, in Milton-Freewater. Larry worked 32 years with Louisiana Pacific and retired in 1991. He is a member of Milton Freewater Elks Lodge BPOE 2416. He enjoys fishing.

Gloria worked for Davis Sameh Meeker Labs and Walla Walla Clinic. Also a homemaker, she enjoys crafts, gardening and playing bunco and playing cards. She is a member of the Lady Elks.

Both volunteer at Meadowood Springs Speech and Hearing Camp. Larry received the 2010 Pioneer of the Year award.

They have two sons and a daughter-in-law, Kevin Heterley and Michael and Julie Heterly, all of Milton-Freewater; six grandchildren, Nicole, Trent, Calvin, Andy, Brady and Shaela; and two great-grandchildren, Isabell and Mason.
