Senior Round Table program to offer open seating lunch
WALLA WALLA - Effective June 15, the Senior Round Table nutrition program will offer an open seating lunch, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. weekdays at The Center at the Park, 720 Sprague Ave. This is for those who can't or don't wish to eat at a set time. With the advent of extended hours, people who have appointments or who may be hungry earlier or later will be able to get a hot lunch and salad bar at a time moew geared to their needs.
Announcements will still be at 11:45.
Most individuals who are 60 years of age, or a spouse of the same, are offered a suggested donation rate of $3.
For individuals under 60 years of age, or individuals of any age residing in a care facility, there is a required charge of $6.
The new table service will begin June 15.
We also have a daily "cook's choice" vegetarian option available.

RSVP, WW police to sponsor a Shred-A-Thon on June 19
WALLA WALLA - Walla Walla RSVP and the City of Walla Walla Police Department will sponsor a Shred-A-Thon at the Center at the Park, 720 Sprague Ave., 10 a.m.-2 p.m., June 19.
The event will allow people to shred documents free of charge and get educated about avoiding identity theft, health-care fraud as well as phone and Internet scams.
Guest speaker, Vicki Ruley, Walla Walla Police Department Crime Prevention Coordinator, will present "Don't Be a Victim of Fraud," at 10:30 a.m.
Bring up to four grocery bags full or two full legal boxes for shredding.
