POMEROY -- The annual Pioneer Day/Tumbleweed Festival will add a new event this year, a car show.
Wine, Stein & Shine begins at noon Friday downtown, with the "Shine," car show and continues Friday from 5-10 p.m. wine tasting at Spinner's Maple Hall at Seventh and Columbia.
The Garfield County Pioneer Association's Honored Pioneers for 2010 are Gerrie Koller and Martson and Marjorie Fitzsimmons. They will be recognized during the Pioneer Day parade Saturday.
Other events during the weekend include an all-class reunion for Pomeroy High School, tours of the Seeley Theater, rifle shoot, golf tournament, swap meet and flea market and art show.
There will be three museums open during the weekend. The Lewis and Clark County Museum, Garfield County Museum, and Eastern Washington Agricultural Museum will be open Friday and Saturday.
