WALLA WALLA -- An election race has developed for the position of part-time Walla Walla County District Court judge.
Local attorney Bridie Monahan Hood filed for the position Thursday afternoon. Kristian Hedine indicated his intention to run for the post that morning.
Hood was admitted to the Washington State Bar in 1997. Her practice reportedly specializes in adoptions, real estate, family law, divorce, personal injury, property damage and estate planning.
The current part-time judge, Jerry Votendahl, hadn't filed for re-election as of late this morning, according to online filing information. The deadline is this afternoon.
