Summer NFL Youth Flag Football League slated for Walla Walla

WALLA WALLA - Walla Walla Parks and Recreation, in partnership with the National Football League, will be offering an NFL Youth Flag Football League this summer. The program is open to boys and girls entering second through sixth grades. Participants in this program will receive a reversible NFL jersey and flags.

The program will run from July 5-Aug. 12 at Wa-Hi. Practices and games will be on Monday through Thursday evenings. Teams in second through fourth grades will meet no more than two times per week, and teams in fifth and sixth grades will meet no more than three times per week.

Teams will be coached by volunteers. Those interested in volunteering to coach should contact Parks and Recreation at 527-4527 or via email at recreation@ci.walla-walla.wa.us. Training will be provided.

Cost to participate in this program is $50. Registration may be completed online at www.ci.walla-walla.wa.us or at the Parks and Recreation Office, 55 Moore Street.
