Well, it looks like the Pac 10 Conference won't add six new universities to become the Pac 16.
>When Texas decided to stay in the Big 12, the Pac 16 dream fell apart. But Colorado did opt to leave the Big 12 for the Pac 10 while Nebraska is saying goodbye to the Big 12 to join the Big 10.
So, where does that leave us?
The Big 12 has 10 schools while the Big 10 now has 12. While it is not accurate, at least it's symmetrical.
The Pac 10's membership won't match its name either. It now has 11 members (and likely soon will have 12).
The mismatched conference phenomenon doesn't occur only in college sports.
The Columbia Basin Big 9 Conference, of which Walla Walla High School is a member, has 15 member schools.
Is it any wonder that low math scores continue to be a problem?
