Blue Mountain Baptist begins cowboy-themed VBS Monday

WALLA WALLA - Blue Mountain Baptist Church, 3009 W. U.S. Highway 12, will hold Vacation Bible School Monday-Friday, beginning at 9 a.m. Monday.

This year's VBS theme is "Saddle Ridge Ranch." Children grades K-6 may participate.

Latino churches to lead M-F Christian outreach Saturday

MILTON-FREEWATER - Several churches and cultures will hold an event, "What Difference Does Jesus Make?" from noon-8 p.m. Saturday at Yantis Park on Dehaven Street.

The theme was initially presented at an event in February.

This time, Latino leaders are participating in the outreach effort to present the hope found in Jesus Christ, organizers say.

Four Christian bands will play at the park's band shell, and eight speakers will talk about the impact their faith in Christ has had on their lives. Interpreters will be on hand.

Participants may bring food, beverages and lawn chairs.

Pioneer United Methodist to hold VBS June 28-July1

WALLA WALLA - Pioneer United Methodist Church, 209 E. Birch St., will hold vacation Bible school June 28-July 1. This year's theme is "High Seas Expedidtion."

New Beginnings Chapel plans Singspiration June 27

WALLA WALLA - New Beginnings Chapel, 822 W. Main St., will have an old-fashioned gospel Singspiration at 6 p.m. June 27, with solos, duets, trios and audience participation.
