Activities and weekly lunch menus at area senior centers
WALLA WALLA - Activities offered daily at The Center at the Park, 720 Sprague Ave., include pool and cards from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. A complete listing of current center activities, classes and health and welfare programs may be found in the center's monthly newsletter. The annual center membership fee, $12 per person, includes a subscription to it. Spanish is spoken at the Center. Adult day care is provided at the Adult Day Center 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday. For more information call Mike Johnson at 527-0771.
Senior Round Table luncheons are served weekdays 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at The Center. For more information call 527-3775. Bread and milk are served with all meals and a salad bar and vegetarian option is available Monday-Friday. The menu this week is:
Monday: Summer salad plate-cottage cheese, egg and fruit; melon; roll; fruit cobbler.
Tuesday: BBQ chicken, Scandinavian mix, potato salad, fruit juice, corn bread, cookie.
Wednesday: Swiss steak with tomato sauce, green beans, coleslaw, bread, plums and cookie.
Thursday: Teriyaki meatballs and rice, mixed vegetables, green salad, bread, apricots.
Friday: Enchilada casserole, chuck wagon corn, three-bean salad, bread, applesauce.
WAITSBURG - Lunch is served at Waitsburg Presbyterian Church, 504 Main St., Waitsburg on Tuesdays. Home-delivered meals are available. Questions: call 527-3775.
MILTON-FREEWATER- Milton-Freewater and Weston seniors can enjoy hot lunches and socialize at the senior centers in Milton-Freewater and Weston. Activities are offered 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesdays and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Fridays at the Milton-Freewater Senior Citizens Center, 311 N. Main St. Hot lunches are served at noon on Tuesdays and Fridays. Bingo is 1 p.m. every Tuesday and pinochle is 7 p.m. every Friday.
The Weston Senior Citizens Center on Main Street is open for social time and a hot lunch is served at noon on Wednesdays.

The suggested donation is $3.50 for meals for those 60 and older or children under 8; and $6 for those 59 and younger.

Tuesday: Roast beef, whipped potatoes, mixed vegetables, fresh fruit, bread, oatmeal cookie.
Friday: Chicken pie with biscuit, broccoli with cheese, Waldorf salad, spice cake.
The menu for Weston is:
Wednesday: Parmesan chicken breast, fried rice, blended veggies, oriental salad, bead twists, Mandarin orange cake.
Seniors of the Blue Mountains and Walla Walla Valley offer a meal at noon Thursdays in the Milton-Freewater Community Building, 109 N.E. Fifth Ave.
Hot rolls and milk are served with every meal. The suggested donation is $3.50. The menu this week is:
Thursday: Barbecue boneless ribs, scalloped potatoes, broccoli and cauliflower crowns, salad, dessert, garlic bread.
