BEND - The Walla Walla Sweets opened a nine-game West Coast League road trip with an 8-0 loss to the Bend Elks here Tuesday.
The Elks plated four runs in the third inning and another four in the seventh to take the victory.
The Elks improved to 8-4 to lead the WCL West Division, while the Sweets fell to 4-6, tied with Moses Lake for second in the WCL East.
The teams play again tonight at 6:30 p.m.
