Bend Elks again top Walla Walla Sweets, 7-2

BEND, Ore. - The Bend Elks won the second game of a three-game West Coast League series with the Walla Walla Sweets, 7-2, here Wednesday.

The Sweets jumped to a 2-0 lead with solo runs in the second and third innings.

The Elks answered with a run in the bottom of the third, and then took the lead for good with three runs in the sixth inning.

Bend rounded out scoring with another run in the seventh and two in the eighth to improve to 9-4 season.

The Sweets, who play in Bend again tonight at 6:35 p.m. before heading to Kitsap for a three-game series, fall to 4-7.
