DAYTON - Free HIV testing will be available from 1 to 4 p.m. Monday at Blue Mountain Counseling, 221 E. Washington.
Blue Mountain Heart to Heart will provide the testing in observance of National HIV Testing Day.
The tests are oral swabs, and results will be given to people who are tested in approximately seven business days. Testing is confidential or anonymous, depending on the preference of the person being tested.
According to state Department of Health surveillance data, seven cases of HIV have been diagnosed in Columbia County as of Dec. 31. There are four confirmed people living with HIV disease.
In Walla Walla County, there have been 66 people diagnosed with HIV disease as of Dec. 31, and there are 33 confirmed people living with the disease now.
