Elnora Brummett

Elnora Marie Brummett was the oldest daughter, of Claude and Eva (Worley) Dudley; she was born Oct. 3, 1932, in Lynchburg, Va. Elnora
had one older brother, Buford; three younger brothers, Leonard, David and Ronnie; and three younger sisters, Ivoy, Shirley and Sandra. She passed peacefully away at the age of 77, on June 22, 2010, from a
heart condition.

She met the love of her life, J.B. Brummett while he was in the U.S. Air Force. They met at a dance and were married on Dec. 1, 1951. They were happily married for 58 years. She moved to the Walla Walla
Valley in 1958, and lived in Dixie or Walla Walla for almost 52 years. She worked at the Birds Eye, D K, and Stokelys Frozen Foods Plant, where she retired from in 1995 with over 35 years. While working at the plant she made many lifelong friends and she looked forward to being with them on a daily basis. After retirement she enjoyed spending time with her 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Her family meant the world to her. She also enjoyed going to church and Bible study each week and being with the many friends she made.

Elnora is survived by her sons, Steve (wife Mary), Tim (wife Kelly) and Bill; daughter, Elaine Karl (husband Rick), all of Walla Walla; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Ivoy Newby, Shirley (husband Bobby) Payne and Sandra (husband Fred) Schmidt; brothers, Leonard (wife Kathy) Dudley and David Dudley; and numerous nieces and nephews. Elnora was preceded in death by her husband,J.B.; and their daughter, Belinda; her parents and two brothers, Buford and Ronnie.

Viewing and visitation will be at the Herring Groseclose Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 29, 2010, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dixie Christian Church or Grace United Methodist Church through the Herring Groseclose Funeral Home, 315 W. Alder, Walla Walla, WA 99362.

The funeral service will be held at Grace United Methodist Church at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 30, 2010. Concluding services and interment will be at Dayton City Cemetery.
