WWCC's Isham East MVP; coaches also honored

Walla Walla Community College sophomore women's basketball player Kati Isham was named NWAACC East Region Most Valuable Player for the second consecutive season.

Isham averaged 22.08 points per game to lead the NWAACC. She also averaged six rebounds, 2.88 assists and 1.48 steals per game for the 24-1 Co-East Region champion Warriors.

Nancy Johnson averaged 14.72 points and 7.56 rebounds to garner East Region First-Team honors for the second straight year.

Warrior men's basketball freshman Jason Smith was eighth in the NWAACC in scoring, averaging 19.5 points per game, to earn East Region First-Team honors. Smith also led the East Region in scoring during league-play at 22.07 points per game for the 19-5 co-East Region champion men.

Sophomore Emery Henning was also named to the East Region First Team. Henning averaged 17.0 points, 6.93 rebounds and 2.57 assists per game.

Warrior coaches Jeff Reinland and Bobbi Hazeltine were both named Coach of the Year for their respective teams.
