Nathan James Cain, 13, died near Horseshoe Prairie nordic ski area in the Blue Mountains of Oregon. Family and friends may pay their respects from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday and from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Saturday, at Mountain View-Colonial DeWitt, 1551 Dalles Military Road, Walla Walla, Washington. The funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Sunday, March 7, 2010, at the Village Seventh-day Adventist Church, 12th and Larch Streets in College Place. Memorial contributions may be made to the Nathan Cain Memorial Fund at Rogers Adventist
School or the Union County Search and Rescue Team through the funeral home.

Nathan was born December 16, 1996, to parents Jim and Cheryl Cain. He was a 7th grade student at Rogers Adventist School at the time of his death. He enjoyed being a member of the Waiilatpu Pathfinder Club and the Walla Walla Youth Soccer League. Nathan is survived by his parents, his sister, Lynn Belles, and his dog, Chapacha.
