‘What a Difference Jesus Makes' slated in M-F tonight

MILTON-FREEWATER - Local Christians will present the second of a 4-week series today at 6:30 p.m. at the Mac-Hi Auditorium.

There will be praise and worship bands and giveaways of Bibles, CDs DVDs, books, etc.

Two local people will speak on the topic of "What A Difference Jesus Makes."

St. Paul's Episcopal's Soup & Pie Luncheon is Tuesday

WALLA WALLA - St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 323 Catherine St., will hold its 40th Annual Soup & Pie Luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Tuesday in March. Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for children under 11. The menu: Tuesday: Mike's Wild Rice and Mushroom Soup by Chef Mike Jones.

Reel Fling to perform for charitable donations

MILTON-FREEWATER - Reel Fling performs Celtic music, 7:30 p.m. Friday at St. James Episcopal Church, 719 Pierce St. as a fundraiser by donation for the Breadbasket in Milton-Freewater and for Helping Hands in Pendleton. Village Church hosts Creation vs. Evolution seminar

COLLEGE PLACE -

Village Seventh-day Adventist Church, 715 S.E. 12th St., will host a Creation vs. Evolution seminar on Friday and Saturday.

Dr. Doug Newton, an emergency room doctor, will lead the seminar, which will begin at 7 p.m. Friday, followed by a session at 9:30 a.m. Saturday and another at 2 p.m. Newton will turn the auditorium into something resembling a museum.

Village Church is at 12th Street and Larch Avenue.

Pioneer United Methodist offers Total Money Makeover

WALLA WALLA - Pioneer United Methodist Church, 209 E. Birch St., will host Dave Ramsey's Total Money Makeover simulcast from noon-5 p.m. Saturday. Learn how to live debt-free and save. Stateline Adventist holds pancake breakfast fundraiser

MILTON-FREEWATER - Stateline Adventist Church, 53730 Stateline Road, will hold an all-you-can-eat community pancake breakfast, 8-10 a.m. March 14 in the Friendship Center. The meal is sponsored by the Milton-Stateline Adventist School seventh- and eighth-graders. Donations will be accepted. All proceeds are for the eighth-grade class Passage trip.
