WALLA WALLA - Walla Walla Community College pulled out a softball split with Eastern Oregon Sunday afternoon, with Alexis Bobadilla pitching a five-hit, 8-2 victory in the nightcap after the Warriors dropped a 7-5 opening game.
The Warriors answered EOU's three-run sixth inning in the opener with two in the bottom of the stanza, but couldn't plate anymore runs to fall two short.
Natalie Leyland, Shaila Rivers, Bobadilla and Ramey Chambers all smacked two hits for WWCC in the nightcap.
The Warriors scored once in the second inning, three times in the third and four in the sixth, while holding EOU to two in the top of the sixth, to garner the victory.
The Warriors, now 3-3 overall, hosts Shoreline at 3 p.m. Saturday.
