Carl Landoni, 89, passed away peacefully in his house March 6.
Carl was born in Walla Walla on Aug. 16, 1921, where he grew up and helped work the family farm with his "Mom and Pop" sister and four brothers, until he left to serve his country during WWII from 1942-1945.

He retired from the Walla Walla Water Dept. after more than 30 years. He was also a volunteer fireman for many years. He enjoyed fishing, pheasant hunting and the many and memorable family vacations.
Carl was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth, of 56 years, sister Josephine, and brother Pete.

He is survived by his daughters, Ruth Alderman, Terry Landoni and Kathy Landoni; grandson Joe Alderman; granddaughter Salinas Holcomb; great-grandchildren Jo E and Cameron; brothers Tony, Dutch and Lawrence.

Carl will be laid to rest March 13, 2010, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests.
