Dorothy B. Catelett, Dayton resident, 92, died March 22, 2010, at Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Walla Walla. There will be no service at her request. Hubbard-Rogg Funeral Home, 111 South 2nd, Dayton, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, or Washington Odd Fellows.
Dorothy was born March 13, 1918, in Spokane, to Daniel and Norma (Baukin) Jenkins. She graduated from Lewis Clark High School with the class of 1936. She attended one year at Spokane Falls Community College.
On Sept. 28, 1940, she and Harold Catlett were married in Coeur'd Alene. Harold's job with the railroad allowed them to live various places along the Union Pacific Line, including Palouse Falls, Spokane, Ayers and Dayton.
Dorothy enjoyed photography, Weight Watchers and spending time with family. She was a member of the Old Timers Club of Walla Walla.
She is survived by one daughter, Ann Michelson in Dayton; three sons, David Catlett and wife Donna, Thomas Catlett and wife Pat, all of Walla Walla, and James Catlett of Phoenix, Ariz.; eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold, on July 26, 2003, and one granddaughter Jill Catlett.
