Walla Walla Police serve search warrant on suspected gang house

WALLA WALLA - A house on Willard Street was raided this morning by Walla Walla SWAT team.

According to a Walla Walla Police Department press release, a month-long investigation into gang and drug activity at 258 Willard Street has led to the serving of a search warrant by Walla Walla law enforcement agencies. The SWAT team entered the property at 6:30 Saturday morning. The residence is located directly across the street from Garrison Middle School.

Roman Garcia, 21, and Priscilla Chavez, 38, were taken into custody. Items seized during the search of the residence included cash, marijuana, cocaine, and measuring scales, the press release stated.

Due to gang activity and the possibility of firearms at this residence, the early morning raid involved over 20 law enforcement officers, according to the press release.
