William "Bill" Hunt, Jr., 1212 Jacquelyn, Milton-Freewater, passed away March 27, 2010, at Kadlec Medical Center in Richland, at the age of 72 years. There will be a private family memorial service held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association through the Munselle-Rhodes Funeral Home, 902 S. Main St., Milton-Freewater, OR 97862.
Mr. Hunt was born Feb. 8, 1938, in Swansea, Mass., the son of William and Elsie Whitehead Hunt. He spent his early childhood years and grew up in Fall Brook, Mass. As a teenager, he moved to Glendale, Calif. where he graduated from Hoover High School. Shortly after his graduation from high school, he joined the U.S. Army, serving for two years in communication systems. Following his discharge from the military, he worked for Pacific Bell for 30 years until retirement. He married Goldaperl Bolen in Burbank, Calif., in May 1972. Mr. Hunt loved to play golf and enjoyed going to the horse races.
He is survived by his wife, Goldaperl "Geep" Hunt at home; two stepdaughters, Ruth Estoup of Milton-Freewater and Barbara O'Connor of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; stepson Dennis Bolen of Titusville, Fla.; five stepgrandchildren, and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
