DAYTON - Dayton came back from early errors to sweep Tekoa-Oakesdale-Rosalia in a softball doubleheader here Saturday.
The Bulldogs won the first game, 8-7, and the second, 13-4.
Dayton improved to 6-2 in league and 9-6 overall.
The Bulldogs started off slowly in the opener, falling behind 7-3 after just an inning-and-a-half of play.
But Dayton closed to within one, 7-6, after three innings and pulled out the win with a pair of two-out runs in the seventh. The first scored on a wild pitch and Sam Harting decided the contest with a walk-off home run.
Kayla Turner pitched all seven innings for the Bulldogs and struck out four hitters along the way.
"We didn't start out so well," Dayton assistant coach Desirae Jones said. "We gave up too many runs with errors at the beginning of game one, and then the girls stepped up and hit the ball and made the plays. Fortunately, we had enough innings left to be able to come out on top."
The Bulldogs banged out 14 hits in the nightcap and broke the game open with six runs in the fifth inning.
Harting, who struck out three and walked two, had three hits in each game for the Bulldogs.
