College Place Police seek info on GameStop robbery

COLLEGE PLACE -- City police are seeking information on a robbery that occurred last week at a local store.

Police Chief Dennis Lepiane said the robbery happened about 1 p.m. Thursday at the GameStop store, 1605 Meadbrook Blvd., which is in the strip mall across from Wal Mart.

"A lone male subject entered the store and took two game systems while making a threat to harm the salesperson," Lepiane said in a release. No weapon was displayed, but "it appeared to have been implied."

The suspect was described as a white or hispanic male about 5-foot-7-inches or 5-foot-8-inches tall with numerous tattoos on each arm. The man fled on foot and was seen entering a light-colored van in an adjacent parking lot.

The man had been seen in the store earlier and was believed to have been accompanied by a white female who was the driver of the van. The female suspect did not enter the store on either occasion, Lepiane said.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact Det. Roger Maidment at 525-7773 or by e-mail at
