Audrey went home to be with her Lord on April 29, 2010, in Canby, Ore. Memorial service will be May 15, 2010, at 1:30 p.m. at the Amazing Grace Nazarene Church, 717 E. Alder St. Walla Walla.

Audrey was born on Nov. 6, 1920, in Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada, to Mears and Lilian (Hill) Rigden. Her Family homesteaded in the Peace River Valley in northern British Columbia. In 1938, she married George Samuel Wesley Wright in Pouce Coupe, B.C. While farming there Wesley Mears, Anita Marilyn and David Alan were born.

In 1944 they moved to Walla Walla, where Ean George and Vivian Kay were born. Residing here until 1962, they then moved to Reedsport, Ore. Audrey went to Southwestern Oregon School of Nursing. She enjoyed working at the Lower Umpqua Hospital until their return to the Walla Walla-Milton-Freewater area.

Audrey was a life member of the Oregon Garden Club, receiving the "Yard of the Month" honor several times.

Her flowers and garden were her love of the soil and carried over into her home decorations and crafts. She was forever teaching her family and friends how to make beauty of whatever she could glean from the trees, weeds and forests.

She taught herself to sew with her first baby and became an expert, teaching her daughters how to sew for their families. Audrey and George could not see anything going to waste, figuring out how they could use the bounty and share with others. Audrey and George had 60 years together before his passing in 1998.

On Nov. 23, 2002, Audrey and Ernest Roy Anderson were married in Walla Walla.

Preceding Audrey in death where her parents, her first husband, George Wright; and their son Wesley.

Surviving her is husband, Ernest Anderson of Dixie; children, Anita Wharton of Beaumont, Texas, (Al) David Wright (Diane) Wright of Milwaukie, Ore., Ean (Laurie) Wright of Scottsburg, Ore., and Vivian (Tom) Cummings of Veneta, Ore.; step-children Donald (Karen) Anderson, Judy (Darrell) Benzel and Lorinda (Daymon) Anderson Marple; grandchildren, Troy Wharton, Karen (Wharton) Hair, Mark Wright, Kevin Wright, Bev (Wright) Cooper, Monica (Wright) Southworth, Del Wright, Larry Wright, Randy Wright, Kimberly (Cummings) Meloy and RyanCummings. There are also 14 great-grandchildren.
