Wildhorse golf scramble to benefit kids' programs


PENDLETON -- Wildhorse Resort & Casino will host the Wildhorse Golf Club Scramble on May 8. The shotgun start will be at 8:30 a.m.

The Scramble is an annual spring event to raise funds for local junior golf programs. All proceeds will go toward lessons, camps, prizes and entry fees for participation in junior golf events.

The entry fee is $50 per player or $35 for Wildhorse Season Pass holders.

Fee includes greens fees, cart, range balls, prizes and a BBQ following the tournament. Prizes will be given for the top 3 gross and net teams. There will also be a $25,000 bonus for a hole-in-one on number 16 and a putting contest, as well as prizes for closest to the pin, long drive and straight drive.

Deadline for registration is 5 p.m. Friday. The field will be limited to 32 teams.

Wildhorse Golf Club is located just off I-84 at exit 216 in Pendleton. The 18-hole course features beautiful lakes, long fairways and deep bunkers. There is a full-service pro shop, driving range, practice green and the Clubhouse Grill. The course is open to the public from 7 a.m.-8 p.m. during the summer.
