MILTON-FREEWATER - Mac-Hi defeated Riverside in a Greater Oregon League tennis match here Thursday.
The girls won 5-2, while the boys won 2-0.
"The girls got a lot of matches in," said Mac-Hi head coach Michelle Snyder. "We are only practicing varsity for the rest of the season and there were some players who could not play tonight.
"It was a beautiful night for tennis," she said. "(There was) sun, accompanied by a lack of wind."
The top two varsity players for boys and girls travel to the Helix Tournament Saturday.
Four doubles teams - two girls and two boys - placed in the top four at the last tournament, she said.
"I have high hopes for this weekend, as well," she said.
Weston-McEwen and Mac-Hi will play at the invite, which starts at 9 a.m. Saturday in Pendleton.
