A stretch of 13th Avenue will be closed for six weeks starting Monday when crews begin work on the latest phase of a massive improvement project on the roadway.
The road between Dell and Rees avenues will be shut down, and a detour route will be signed, city officials say.
Access to businesses and residences will be maintained, but through traffic will not be allowed.
The intersection of Dell and 13th will also remain open through most of the construction though delays will occur and motorists will have to drive on gravel.
The work is a $1.86 million project that includes a new roadway with curb, gutter and drainage facilities, street lights, utility repairs, sidewalk and multi-use path.
Construction is expected to be finished by early July.
